Everyone loves a good ‘before and after’—I know I do. However, with photo editing, I always aim to make the photo look just like I saw it with my eyes or 10-20% better. This editing style might not be as flashy or jaw-dropping for viewers, but I aim for subtlety.
My goal is to capture the best possible photo initially so I don't have to spend too much time editing. Over-editing can degrade the image quality and make it look unprofessional.
Below is a tutorial sharing a very common editing process I follow using Google Snapseed. If you have any questions, please let me know—I’m happy to help!

Why Google Snapseed?
It’s free and offers a wide range of features that allow you to enhance your photos easily, even if you are a beginner.
Getting Started
Download and Install: Download Google Snapseed from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
Open Your Photo: Launch the app and open the photo you want to edit by tapping the plus sign.
Basic Adjustments
Let's start with some basic adjustments to improve the overall look of your photo.
1. Tune Image
Tap on "Tools" and select "Tune Image".
Adjust the Brightness to lighten or darken your photo.
Increase the Contrast to make details stand out.
Use Saturation to make colors more vibrant.
Adjust the Ambiance to balance light and color.
2. Details
Go back to "Tools" and select "Details".
Use Structure to enhance image clarity.
Sharpen the image slightly with the Sharpening option.
3. Curves
In "Tools", select "Curves".
Curves allow you to fine-tune the brightness and contrast across different tonal ranges of your photo.
Experiment by adjusting the curve line to see how it affects your image. Pulling the curve up will brighten the image, while pulling it down will darken it. You can also adjust specific points to enhance highlights, midtones, and shadows.
